What does Kāohi mean?
Kāohi is the Hawaiian word for control.
Why was the Kāohi Grip Leash™ created?
We designed it for better control of your surfboard, longboard, hydro foil board or paddle board and to create a safer line-up for all.
How can I successfully use the Kāohi Grip Leash™?
The Kāohi Grip Leash™ enables you to control your board with one or two hands in the whitewater and in-between sets. You can keep your board close to to help you avoid others in the water and safely return to the line-up.
Note: Do not hold on to the Grip handle in the impact zone of any wave; Let your leash do its job.

How do I care for my leash?
For best results, remove your Kāohi Grip Leash™ from your board and rinse it with with fresh water after each use. It is important to Inspect your leash before each use. Do not continue to use your Kāohi Grip Leash™ if you see fraying or visible cuts in any part of the leash.
Where are Kāohi Grip™ Surfing Leashes made?
All Kāohi Grip Leashes™ are Designed in the USA. The "Original" Kāohi Grip Leashes™ are made in the USA.
How are Kāohi Grip™ Surfing Leashes made?
We use the finest quality materials. These include: high strength urethane cords (9, 8, 7 or 5.5 mm), tied end and/or double swivel connectors, brass or 316 stainless steel swivels, neoprene handle for comfort, strong velcro and double stitching in key areas for durability.
What is your guarantee?
Every Kāohi Grip™ Surfing Leash is guaranteed to be free of defects when you receive it. Therefore, we do not allow exchanges or returns for reasons unrelated to product quality. For example, we cannot refund your order if you decide you do not want it. We will repair or replace a leash for defects in materials and workmanship for 6 months from purchase. This does not cover damage due to abuse, fin cuts, inappropriate attachment to a board, or normal wear and tear.

Can I use the Kāohi Grip™ surfing leash for river surfing?
No, our leash is not designed for river surfing. We are considering a future line extension though. Please let us know if you would like see a Kāohi Grip Leash™ in a river surfing version.

Where can I use my new Paddle Belt™?
The Paddle Belt™ secures your paddle so that you are hands-free when you need it most:
1. Prone-Paddling on the ocean in flat water or through whitewater
2. Swimming in the surf after a lost board
3. Reeling in a fish
How does the Paddle Belt™ work?
1. Snug the Paddle Belt™ around your hips/waist
2. Insert paddle handle through the Paddle Belt Loop
3. Secure slider down TIGHTLY against paddle

Where is the Paddle Belt™ made?
The Paddle Belt™ is made in Indonesia with final assembly and packaging in the USA.
How is the Paddle Belt™ made?
The Paddle Belt™ is made of comfortable, high quality nylon construction with a plastic slide buckle and a spring loaded quick slide mechanism.
How do I care for my Paddle Belt™?
For best results, rinse your Paddle Belt™ with fresh water after each use.
What sizes does the Paddle Belt™ come in?
The Paddle Belt comes in one size and adjusts best on hips/waist sizes of 28" through 43”.
